The organisation carries out applied research and disseminates information on intellectual disability through seminars, conferences and library resources. Provides a collection of journals, books, videos, and audiocassettes on a wide variety of topics within the disability field. This material may be accessed by contacting the Beasley Institute with specific requests. Aims to help develop networks among researchers and educators, teach and supervise student research projects, provides professional consultancy and advise as well as host visiting Fellows and Professors from overseas. The aim of the organisation is to promote the involvement of families and people with intellectual disability in education, and research.
