Te Roopu Waiora Trust is a disability support organisation serving the most disadvantaged sector in our community. Te Roopu Waiora seeks to ‘Enable through Empowerment’ by: Creating a supportive environment for whanau to identify their own disability resource needs and aspirations Providing health and disability information, advice, advocacy and support to whanau with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities Engaging with community groups, agencies, providers, Iwi and Maori communities to increase the awareness of disability issues and improve engagement with whanau haua Assisting whanau with disabilities to evaluate responsiveness, accessibility, quality throughout service provision in the community. We have a range of information packs and disability service contacts to assist whanau to make informed decisions and/or to improve their access to services. Providers and agencies are also welcome to participate at our monthly hui.
