DSNZ acts as a national advocate for Adaptive snowsports, supporting programmes at NZ's ski areas and seven active regional branches. Support includes recreational, and volunteer training, adaptive equipment and hosting fun and national events. These programmes help remove participation barriers and encourage people with physical or intellectual disabilities to get involved with snowsports. Now part of Snowsports NZ.

Kaurilands Skills is a rural based program for adults with intellecutal disabilites. Kaurilands Skills Centre is set on 45 hectares.
The core aims of the Trust are to provide a holistic program encompassing work, leisure, spiritual and family/whanau involvement. Provide a secure, friendly and happy environment with an open home policy.
Kaurilands Trust provides meaningful weekday activities where each participant contributes to other successes of the centre and gains a sense of achievement.
Kaurilands Trust assists residents to participate in sports and recreational pursuits of their choice and encourage residents to participate within the local community through volunteer work and joining local clubs.
Work and Life skills are all part of the week day activities at Kauilands. The core aim of this programme, in line with the Ministry of Social Developement's directive, is to encourage each resident to achieve where possible, their personal goals and aspirations for a normal life. This might be paid employment, special activities or both.
All of Kaurilands Skills Centre Trust residents have at least 5 hours paid employment per week and are involved in many individual personal activities.

A charitable organisation which aims to teach people of all ages and abilities the skills to keep themselves physically and emotionally safe with people they know and don't know. Through our workshops; learn assertive communication skills, maintaining boundaries, preventing and dealing with bullying or abusive behaviour. We run 6 types of workshops nationally - Parent and Child (ages 4-7), Kidpower (ages 7-12), Teenpower (for teenagers), Fullpower (for women), Healthy Relationships interactive resource programme for teachers, allied health professionals and parents of all ages who work with people who have intellectual disabilities to teach positive social interaction to stop bullying, and Non violent Crisis Intervention for all health professionals, security personnel, or anyone dealing with the public.
