With the purchase of the clinic in 2005 Whakatane Medical Practice Ltd continues to provide high quality GP services to its enrolled population in Whakatane and the rural Eastern Bay of Plenty. The Kaupapa of the practice from its early days in the 1980's has been to remove as much as possible, physical, financial and cultural barriers to access for its patients, 77% of clients are Maori or disadvantaged.
