Korowai Aroha Trust and their whānau ora model encompasses a huge range of primary and secondary care for anyone choosing to use their services. Their model 'Whānau Ora: Mauri Ora' is a practical model that has developed over twelve years. They started as a team of Māori nurses, with no contracts and employing their own doctors. Today they have 5,500 turoro enrolled and funding in excess of $1.3 million. Korowai Aroha work to support the total well being of Māori and other priority groups in its community with the right services, systems and tools in place to achieve this.
