Te Kaokao O Takapau
In January 1998 Te Kaokao O Takapau was formed as a subsidiary Trust of Te Runanga Matauranga O Tuhoe. This was primarily in response to a lack of local services specifically targeted toward promoting welfare and opportunity for children with a disability. The aims were; Identifying potential clients, and conducting a needs analysis assessment Establishing key networks with internal and external organisations relative to the organisation Identifying and resourcing core services which provide for an improved service delivery focussed on "client need" Securing of financial resources which supported operations, and allowed for effective implementation of key strategies in providing an excellent service Staff development strategy implemented addressing weaknesses and enhancing strengths to achieve more qualified staff
