This website has been designed so that people with disabilities can use it. There are design features for people with visual impairment, and also for those who prefer to use a keyboard rather than a mouse.
Features for users with visual impairments
The website has been logically structured to be screenreader compatible and to be easy to use with most assistive technologies. To maximise this site to suit your visual preferences, you can also override most of its design features. For example, you can change the font, font size, font colour, or background colours. To increase the font size used on this site:
- Internet Explorer: At the top of your browser window is a button called "View". Click on this and a window will drop down. Move the cursor (or use the down arrow on your keyboard) until "Text Size" is highlighted. Another window will open to the right. In this window there are the options "Largest, Larger, Medium, Smaller, Smallest". One of them will have a dot next to it which indicates the size your text is currently set at. Move the cursor to the right (or use the right arrow key on your keyboard) and click (or press enter on your keyboard) to select the text size you require. The dot will move to this size and the text on the page will change size accordingly.
- Netscape: If you are using a Netscape browser then follow the instructions as for the Internet Explorer browser with the exception, after clicking on "View" look for "Increase font" rather than "Text Size".
For other browsers, consult the browser help or documentation.
To change the colours, font styles and general appearance of these pages, the controls in most browsers can be found under the "Preferences" or "Options" sections from the browser’s menu bar. For further assistance, consult your browser help or documentation.
