Kiwi Kale Elected

Posted on 12 September 2017 at 11:33am by Disabilities Resource Centre, Southland

The new International Paralympic Committee (IPC) governing board will have a Kiwi presence, with Duane Kale elected as vice-president at the IPC general assembly. Kale, a three-time Paralympic gold medallist and Paralympics New Zealand board member, polled just two more votes than his rival candidate from Denmark. As vice-president, Kale will help to lead the global governing body of the Paralympic movement to continue to drive social change through the performances of Paralympians and Para-athletes.
